DeFiNiNg m0mEnTs 0f 2008
jus 2 shelf it on the blogger archives and moving on with life..
10 positive moments i hav enjoyed in 2008, thank God 4 all these..
10: New handphone (November) - after using the old lao kok kok samsung hp and the nokia 2626 for a total of 2 yrs 2 mths.. i hav finally returned possessing a camera hp~~ and i so miss the cam function.. i hav been w/o knowledge on the best cam phone in the mkt but i thank God for my V9.. i do not expect much quality of a pic so longg as the major details can b seen..
9: Baptism (March) - finally i can declare my faith 2 the world.. daryl gave my baptism name as mark.. sayin tt i hav the looks of one.. thanks nigel for the photos and he's still usin THAT PIC of mine 4 his "ill-gotten gains" lolzz.. my parents were not surprised at all as they tot tt i hav actualli baptized longg time ago
8: EX Lancer (February) - they say tt after u hav been 2 brunei, u will become a true man. Once you have conquered it, there's nothing too difficult for you. The challenge was too climb up a steep Mount Biang with a super duper heavy field pack and to walk and climb the 7 mountains with that too. I almost gave up, but i thank God i didn't. Else i would not have become an overcomer..
7. EX High noon (April) - It's not as mentally and geographically tougher than LANCER, but its certainly a bigger challenge.. the total dist covered exceeded much and the cold weather makes it difficult.. at the final point.. i actualli fell 2 the grd relieved tt we hav reached.. and after the mission i felt tt i hav yet made another physical achievement.. not forgettin the great leisures tt the country hav 2 offer..
6: Willy's conference call prayer (the yr throughout) - this is the center of all great things ar birthed.. be it our ministry, cg or work.. at times where i was tired.. and i tot tt i couldn't get enuff slp.. or jus sacrificin my free time.. through it all its worthwhile.. hav we not prayed.. i doubt tt many greater things tt we do will b successful..
5: Back to tuition (July) - Ruth was so happy when she saw me back serving once more. I really thank God 4 her, though she's abit stern at times and critical.. i always hav somethin 2 learn and she'll always effectively correct my speakin bad habits.. new faces were everywhere as the old faces fade away.. the team of tutors got younger.. and i pray tt this yr they will lead the classes 2 an even greater academic excellence..
4: New Laptop (September) - My old computer had been serving me for 3 yrs and guess wat.. the motherboard was at a 478 series and it runs wif pentium 4.. its so old tt i tot it was obselete.. while i was braggin 2 my dad tt i need a new laptop 4 my uni.. he actualli agreed 2 get me one.. i jus love this ASUS.. let's hope it'll last me 2-3yrs from now..
3: Sentosa (November) - i was a temp job mercenary.. hoppin from company to company jus 2 earn some more $$$ 4 myself.. little did i noe i've got entangled wif a great social grp of friends/colleagues tt were gdd.. i couldn't recall a bad day tt i hav in Sentosa.. even if there was.. ppl like aunt jito and of coz michelle mei mei would brighten things up.. so its not so baddd after all.. its perhaps my most enjoyable job so farr..
2: Prep Course (September) - Initially it requires the student to be in a related diploma or possessing a business diploma but working in a hospitality industry for 2 yrs.. however.. everythin changed by the grace of God.. those wif business diplomas w/o work exp and those wif other tech diplomas were allowed 2 undergo the hospitality-tourism course with the criteria of undergoin a prep course.. realli thank God 4 a change of system.. now a new destiny awaits..
1: ORD!! (08 September 2008) - 2 years ago i stupidly surrendered my pink IC 2 this bloke and i've finally reunited with it!!! (i could hav feign mental sickness when they ask 4 it..) but its the end of the military regimental dumb system and culture as it was quickly forgotten.. the air i breathe in the civilian world is much better.. its simply the start of new and greater things tt is to come.. as i embark on a new journey of my life..
