FiELd CaMp DiaRy 070907-100907
070907wat do u tink CO will do when he ask the medics 2 bring their medical stores + field pack + SBO?? it means tt he will roast us alive by callin us 2 participate in some pre road march thingy at tekong b4 reachin 2 camp site.. the men were not verii happi as they waited at the med ctr 2 confront MO.. but seein time is drawin near and MO is not reachin.. we decided 2 report our respective companies..
so after we reported 2 the superiors we waited 2 embark on the transport 2 tekong.. it seems tt CO didnt wan 2 screw us at all.. but still y the so mani stuffs tt we hav 2 bring??
finally we reached tekong.. as i went 2 find our safety rover.. we were told tt weren't any safety rover.. 4 now.. and man.. we walked 2 field camp site.. thank God is not tt far onli abt 2-3km.. soon after the sit and the recruits were settled wif their tents and all their stuff.. they went 2 hav lunch and they had FRESH RATIONS!! not onli tt.. they even COLLECTED SYRUP 4 THEMSELVES!! pl 6 PS was complainin and complainin tt they had such gdd life tt this field camp is so "kind" 2wards them.. the commanders then agreed tt they will not receive any syrup 4 the nxt meal..
0809071 more yr 2 ORD!! man im officially a 1 yr soldier already.. in he mornin shouts and screams greeted me as i woke up when the recruits were scolded and punished 4 their inability 2 stick 2 fall in timings.. man its like a great start.. finally the steam gets rollin as i felt tt the real stuff.. or the real field camp life has jus started where the mornin tekan sessions were jus appetizers..
recruits will hav BIC and live grenade throw 4 2dae.. CSM once again sat the recruits down and gave them a piece of mind when they tried 2 test the system.. i got some crap from DY S3 when he messed ard wif my medical stuff.. 1 of these daes i'll chop off his head and smash into pieces like a nigga~~ and durin the grenade throw the china recruit got tekan by the PC 4 throwin a blind.. the PC even scolded him via the loudhailer.. sometimes things get screwed up when there's not enuff understandin between 2 parties.. the poor china cum SAF recruit mus get 2 noe this..
finally 2dae they hav tasted field camp.. wif a bite of SAF classic combat rations.. well im not consmin those crappy sticky stuff.. instead my field pack.. wif a whole lot of commercial food.. made up my meals 4 the daes of combat ration consumption.. lolzz..
090907wat am i doin 2dae last yr?? hmm.. i rem vividly on how i surrendered my pink IC 2 the SAF.. i should hav made a fake pink IC 4 surrenderin or jus refusin 2 surrender my pink IC citin emotional disorders abt givin ppl my IC.. and exactly 365 daes from 2dae i'll b like a free bird.. flyyy awayyyyyy~~
i was greeted in the mornin by the usual commotions between the commanders and the recruits.. and thus the dae is ready 2 start well.. 2dae the recruits ar learnin urban ops.. and i was like, "ohh no.. it'll b slack.. there'll b ample time 2 rest wif little 2 b taught.." true enuff.. onli the basics were taught.. nothin much..
pl 5 and 6 PS.. PC 5 and my fellow medic gaz were talkin wif each other in a small room.. pl 6 PS felt tt this field camp seems meaningless.. there was no objective 4 this field camp.. gaz tot tt the activities could b held in sg mainland instead of comin 2 tekong.. i felt tt if the field camp were 2 b meaningful.. the recruits hav 2 b pushed mentally 4 a breakthru mindset instead of focusin their welfare out in he field.. tt way their mental capacity could expand..
100907i've got sickk of wat im eatin alreadyyy.. though its 10x better than wat the recruits and some of the commanders were eatin.. i still prefer hot cooked food.. suddenly.. gaz and me were talkin abt food all over again.. man i tot.. it's always like this.. u wanna eat somethinrealll gdd after u hav eaten somethin realll baddd.. lolzz..
the recruits were once again stressed earli in the mornin when they were turned out by the commanders wif flash bangs.. they tot it was onli a prank by some jokers when they hear from their voices of their commanders 2 wake up and fall in.. everythin was sloppy.. slow.. and they got a piece of mind from their commanders once again.. i woke up earli this time 2 pack up my stuff as we prepared 2 leave gddd old tekong 2 go back home..
and teh verdict of this field camp?? crap.. despite the punishments tt they received durin these 4 daes most of them still remain unaware of their situations.. ar they realli ready 2 b passed out as trained soldiers?? i doubt so.. b4 the field camp their discipline was so baddd and a little progress was made durin these 4 daes.. like wat OC sae.. they will suffer at the nxt phrase of trainin if they remain like this..
mayb this boils down 2 perhaps 1 reason: if the welfare is not given freely 2 the commanders.. they will not pledge 2 commit 2 raise up the standard of trainin 4 the men.. will things change if the commanders were empowered wif freedom tt they wanted?? mayb so..
